Privacy policy

Thank you for your interest in JLD Space. Protecting your personal data matters to us. This website works without tracking or analytics tools and does not set cookies for advertising or statistics. Below, we explain which data is nevertheless processed.

1. Controller

JLD SPACE LTD
Palaion Patron Germanou 11
8011 Paphos, Cyprus
Email: hello@jldspace.com

Represented by the directors Joel Wedel and Lea Wedel. We have not appointed a data protection officer, as there is no legal obligation to do so.

2. Hosting

This website is delivered via Cloudflare Workers, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“Cloudflare”). Cloudflare serves the pages through a global server network and protects them against attacks.

When you visit the website, Cloudflare automatically processes data transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, referrer URL, and browser type and operating system. This data is technically necessary to deliver the website and to keep it secure and stable, for example to fend off attacks. We do not store server log files ourselves and do not analyse the visits of individual users; Cloudflare only provides us with aggregated figures such as the number of requests. How long Cloudflare stores the access data depends on these purposes and is described in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in providing the website securely and reliably.

We have a data processing agreement (Data Processing Addendum) with Cloudflare. A transfer of personal data to the USA cannot be ruled out. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; in addition, the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses apply. More information: Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

3. No cookies, no tracking

We do not use cookies, analytics or tracking tools, or social media plugins. All fonts and images are hosted locally on our server; visiting the website does not create a connection to Google or any other third party.

The only exception: if Cloudflare classifies a request as suspicious, a short security check may appear before the page. If you pass it, Cloudflare sets a technically necessary cookie (e.g. “cf_clearance”) so the check is not repeated on every page view. The legal basis is Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is protecting the website against attacks.

4. Contact by email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process the data you provide (for example your name, email address or phone number and the content of your enquiry) in order to handle your enquiry. Providing this data is voluntary, but without it we cannot respond to your enquiry.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in all other cases. Our legitimate interest lies in responding to your enquiry.

Emails to addresses at jldspace.com are received by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Email Routing, provider as in section 2) and forwarded to our mailboxes at Microsoft Outlook without being stored permanently. The mailboxes are provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. Processing in the USA cannot be ruled out here either; Microsoft is also certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More information: Microsoft’s privacy statement.

We delete your data as soon as it is no longer needed for this purpose, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right at any time to:

  • access the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • have inaccurate data rectified (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • have your data erased (Art. 17 GDPR),
  • restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
  • object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR).

To exercise your rights, simply send an email to hello@jldspace.com.

We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR).

6. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Cyprus, or the authority in the country where you live or work.
